Lifepath numerology meanings

Before I explain how to calculate your Life Path number to discover the numerology meanings, I want to tell you my story.

I woke up in the very early morning. My dream had been so beautiful, my love had his strong arms wrapped around me and looked me lovingly in my eyes. I felt warm and fuzzy inside, and I knew that he was the man I wanted to be with, the man of my dreams, the man I wanted to grow old with.

Waking up to the harsh reality was painful.

I was alone, through the bedroom window fell a faint grey light, the first signs of a new day. I tried to get back to sleep, to get back into my dream, but instead my eyes started to feel watery, and not before long I reached at the paper tissues at my bedside table. I was sobbing uncontrollable now, the pain was just not bearable. Thoughts tortured me: how this could have happened, how I should have reacted differently, what I had done wrong... but there was no solution as far as I could see.

He was gone, and he had told me how relieved he was that our 4 year relationship had ended. And here I was, just incredibly sad, and not being able to pick myself up and start all over again. I felt I was a complete failure.

I got out of bed, as the restlessness took over. I switched on the computer, still hoping on a lfe sign, an email, a chat, some line he dropped somewhere. Maybe on Facebook? Or did I miss a Gmail chat? Skype? I checked all possibilities, but my despair and disappointment was only growing. Then my eye fell on an email of a friend, sending me the link for a numerology site. "I can't sleep anyway", I thought, so I decided to check it out.

As I started reading, my interest grew steadily. I discovered that you can calculate many different numbers for yourself: Your life path number, your karmic number (or Soul urge), your expression number, and even more. The number which struck me as most accurate, was my Life Path number, and I'll explain how you can calculate yours.

The first and simplest calculation you can do to start discovering your numerology meanings, is adding up all  the digits of your date of birth.

So, if for example, you're born on May 13, 1955, your life path number is 5+1+3+1+9+5+5=29; 2+9=13; 1+3=4.

There is one exception to this simple rule: As soon as you reach an 11 or a 22, you don't add them up as 2 or 4; they stay 11 or 22. So if you are born on November 22, 1974, your lifepath number is 11+22+1+9+7+4=54: 5+4=9.

OK, so now you can do your calculation and find your lifepath number.

When I calculates my life path number, I discovered it was 3.

Now 3's have a set of special traits, which doesn't make it always easier to be just happy and laid-back. As I am writing this hub, I did a Google search for "Life Path number 3 numerology meanings", and it came up with a couple of interesting facts:

• We love drama, for a start. Hm, I can see that in my life, yes.
• We love communication - absolutely true; I love to chat with people, hang out with friends, drink tea and chat about the ins and outs of our lives..
• We're born performers - yes I can see that; I love to speak to groups, play and sing on stage..
• We make people feel special, but the interaction drains our energy and we are easily hurt - and when that happens we sink into a deep silence, maybe a depression. But we do bounce back.
• There is one wound that is very hard to heal for threes: the wounds of the heart. When we get hurt deeply in our heart, it will be permanent. We're so loyal and dedicated, and unfortunately we do attract lovers who tend to hurt us, that is the tragedy of a number 3... Our blind optimism that saves us from seeing the truth as it is suddenly gets shattered, and we lose ourselves in deep misery and lethargy.

Well, I didn't have to read any further. That was exactly what happened, and that was why it felt totally impossible to get out of this sadness and depressed state.

Even though the solution was not yet within sight, I did feel better after having read this. Now I will have to find a way to cope with it, my unbreakable optimism still peeps around the corner that my love will come back to me and all will be well, but reality is also throwing its shade.
